Why can't I see any of the Yamaha MusicSoft sheet music on your site?
To view the Printable Sheet Music products on our site, you’ll need to download and install the free Sibelius Scorch plug-in. If you still can't see the music, uninstall Scorch, restart your computer, and then re-install again. If you use more than one browser, (e.g. Internet Explorer and Chrome) you may need to install Scorch in each browser’s plug-in folder individually.
Why can I only see the first page of the music?
We provide a first page preview of each song so you can confirm that the sheet music you are viewing is the song you wish to purchase. Once you buy a song you will be able to view, customize, play back and print every page of that song. The page count displayed in the product details pane tells you how many pages are included in the full song.
Why do I see the error message: "Score did not load successfully. Please try viewing the web page again"?
If you have already installed the Scorch plug-in but receive this message when trying to view certain sheet music arrangements, you will need to upgrade to a newer version of Scorch. The most current version can be downloaded here.
Why does the preview page show a Sample page instead of the first page of music?
Sample pages are shown for scores that are only one page in length. Once you purchase the song you will be able to view and print your sheet music online.
Why can I only hear the first 30 seconds of the piece?
Due to copyright restrictions, we are only allowed to play the first 30 seconds of any copyrighted piece of music.
Why can I see the blue line but not hear the music?
When viewing a score in the interactive Scorch window, you should see icon on the Scorch toolbar with two eighth notes. Clicking on this will open a window that provides sound options. You can use this window to test your computer’s sound output devices. Choose a device from the menu and then click Test. You should hear an ascending scale. If you do not hear the scale, then your sound settings may be incorrect. Check the following details and try again: Windows: Your computer should include a Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth, which is the device that Scorch uses to play back Sibelius scores. Double-clicking the speaker in the lower right-hand corner of the screen should bring up a volume control box including a volume control labeled SW Synth. Please make sure that this level is up and unmuted. Macintosh: Quit Safari and/or Firefox. Delete the Scorch folder from /Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Sibelius Software. Then return to the item detail page in order to properly recreate the playback configuration. You can use this free sample test page for this purpose. After following these steps, reopen the interactive Scorch window for the song you are trying to hear. You may need to repeat these steps if you return to the site to browse later.
Why do I lose transpositions I make in the piece when I move off the page?
Transpositions are not maintained once you navigate away from the interactive Scorch window. Changes are made solely within the Scorch software and each Scorch file is read-only, your changes will be discarded once you close the interactive Scorch window. If you transpose a piece in the preview window on the product page then decide to buy that song, you must redo your transposition before printing the sheet music.
Why can't I transpose this song?
Some Printable Sheet Music products do not include the transposition feature. If a piece of music can be transposed, it will have a transpose icon in the Scorch toolbar. If the icon does not appear, then the music cannot be transposed. Transposition possible: Transposition not available:
